Lexis Legal App

Turning a massive legal ecosystem into a simple mobile experience

Lexis had an ambitious goal: bring their entire suite of legal tools into one simple, portable app. That meant an AI assistant trained in Ecuadorian law, a vast legal library, jurisprudence records, alerts, and curated legal news—all in the pocket of busy lawyers and CEOs.

But the real challenge wasn’t just packing everything into one app. It was making it incredibly easy to use for an audience that wasn’t very tech-savvy. Lawyers are used to detailed, formal workflows. CEOs just want answers fast. If the app felt complicated or intimidating, it would fail.

The challenge

The sheer volume of legal data was overwhelming. There were libraries, alerts, jurisprudence, favorite laws, ongoing legislation, and AI-powered consultations—each with different interaction needs. How could all of that be made searchable, navigable, and approachable?

I initially leaned toward an ultra-modern, visually rich design. But after user interviews with lawyers and CEOs, it became clear that what they really valued wasn’t visual complexity—it was clarity and familiarity. They wanted something clean and minimal, without the learning curve of “trendy” UI patterns.

So I pivoted. Instead of focusing on “wow” moments, I prioritized usability over visual flashiness.

My approach

I began by mapping the core user goals:

-Lawyers needed detailed legal references, but also quick summaries.

-CEOs wanted straightforward answers—no legal jargon, no wasted time.

-Both needed to find what they wanted in 1–2 taps, not 6.

I restructured the information architecture into six clear sections—News, Alerts, AI Assistant, Jurisprudence, Favorites, and Library. Each section had a consistent, predictable layout so users wouldn’t get lost.

I also made a key design trade-off: removing visual noise and relying on clean typography, big tap targets, and clear hierarchy. The result felt modern but not intimidating.

What it became

The Home Screen became a simple, visual hub for everything Lexis offered. Clear, icon-based navigation guided users to exactly what they needed—whether it was news, AI consultations, or their saved laws.

The News & Alerts sections were redesigned to make updates scannable and easy to filter. Users could quickly browse the most important legal changes without getting buried in unnecessary details.

The AI Legal Assistant allowed users to ask natural language questions about Ecuadorian law. It provided structured answers with tips for refining searches—helping even non-tech users get accurate results.

The impact

After launch, Lexis saw a surge in service package purchases, with the app becoming a major selling point. For users, it meant legal consultations on the go without the usual friction. For the business, it turned their static legal services into a mobile-first product with real revenue impact.

This project wasn’t about cramming features into an app. It was about making complex information feel simple and approachable for people who aren’t digital natives.

A modern AI-driven experience

Turning a legal tech website into a modern AI-driven experience

Before this redesign, Lexis’ homepage felt static and outdated. The visuals didn’t reflect the cutting-edge AI tools they were building, the UX was clunky, and the overall experience lacked the sense of innovation the company was aiming for.

Lexis was evolving beyond a traditional legal services company. They were introducing AI-powered legal tools and wanted their homepage to send a clear message: we are modernizing. The site needed to look and feel fresh, while still retaining the credibility and seriousness of a legal brand.

But there was more at stake than just aesthetics. The redesign also needed to improve conversion and retention, making it easier for lawyers, CEOs, and law firms to understand Lexis’ new offerings and engage with them.

The challenge

The challenge was balancing two worlds—the traditional, trustworthy nature of the legal field and the forward-looking innovation of AI.

Go too far toward “tech startup,” and you lose the authority and seriousness lawyers expect. Keep it too traditional, and it feels outdated, failing to communicate the innovation Lexis was investing in.

I also needed to restructure the content-heavy layout, which previously buried key information and overwhelmed users.

My approach

I started by analyzing similar legal tech products worldwide, studying how they presented innovation while maintaining trust.

Then I built the redesign around two key principles:

  • Minimalism → Reduce clutter, remove unnecessary content, and keep only what supports user decisions.

  • Strong hierarchy → Guide users visually with clear sections, bold headlines, and simple interaction patterns.

I improved the structure by:

  • Consolidating content into focused sections that tell a story about Lexis’ evolution.

  • Adding dynamic visuals and interactive elements to make the experience feel alive.

  • Highlighting AI capabilities upfront, so users immediately see the value of Lexis’ new tools.

What it became

The redesigned homepage became a clear narrative rather than a static list of services.

Visitors are greeted with a modern hero section that sets the tone—clean, dynamic, and professional.

The new experience reveals visual storytelling that highlights Lexis’ AI capabilities and core offerings without overwhelming users. Minimalistic layouts, bold headlines, and carefully placed calls-to-action create a natural flow that drives engagement.

The content hierarchy was simplified so users can grasp the key value propositions in seconds, while deeper content is still accessible for those who want to explore.

The impact

After launch, the new homepage improved perception and retention, aligning Lexis’ digital presence with their AI-driven innovation.

For users, it made understanding Lexis’ services faster and easier. For the business, it led to more e-commerce sales and higher engagement, proving that a modernized design can directly support business goals.

Bringing premium legal services to CEOs and private companies

Bringing premium legal services to CEOs and private companies

Heka wanted to create a completely new way for high-level executives—CEOs, COOs, and corporate clients—to access legal services. Instead of the traditional back-and-forth of emails, calls, or meetings, they envisioned an app where clients could chat directly with a lawyer or even consult an AI assistant trained in Ecuadorian law.

But this wasn’t just about functionality. Heka was targeting an exclusive, high-end market, and the app needed to feel modern, sleek, and premium—more like a luxury service than a typical legal tool.

The app also had to include a Monitor with legal news and updates, plus a dedicated alerts section, making it a one-stop solution for executives who need real-time legal information.

The challenge

The challenge was finding the right balance between two very different identities. On one hand, the app needed to communicate the seriousness and trustworthiness of a law firm. On the other, it had to deliver the modern, cutting-edge experience that high-level corporate clients expect from premium digital services.

Complicating matters further, Heka’s existing brand assets were completely out of sync with this vision. The original color palette felt almost childish, lacking the sophistication and authority required for such an exclusive audience. I had to guide the client toward adopting a dark, sleek visual language—one that felt premium and modern while still retaining the gravitas essential in the legal world.

My approach

I started with an international analysis of similar premium legal services, studying how they combined trustworthiness with a modern digital presence.

From there, I built the app around three design principles:

  • Minimalism → No clutter, only the essential actions for executives who don’t have time to navigate complexity.

  • Clear information hierarchy → News, alerts, and AI consultations needed to feel effortless and intuitive.

  • Premium visual language → A dark, sleek palette combined with clean typography and subtle accents to communicate luxury and trust.

I also redefined their UI patterns so every screen felt consistent, predictable, and polished.

What it became

The app launched with a carefully curated set of services tailored for busy executives, combining daily legal updates through the Monitor, an AI-trained assistant capable of answering complex questions in natural language, direct live advisory chats with real lawyers, and instant alerts for urgent legal changes.

All of this was wrapped in a dark-themed UI with clean layouts and simple interactions, creating a premium experience that feels both modern and trustworthy.

The impact

The app is still in its release phase, but initial client reactions have been overwhelmingly positive.

Executives and companies have praised the modern look and intuitive experience, noting that it feels nothing like a traditional law firm tool—and that’s exactly what Heka wanted.

For the client, the biggest win was how the app elevated their brand perception, positioning Heka as a forward-thinking, tech-enabled law firm serving the highest-level clientele.

Turning matchmaking into an exclusive, premium experience

Designing a luxury matchmaking brand that builds trust, intimacy, and sophistication

Quore Matchmakers was born as a completely new brand, created from the ground up for an audience that expects nothing less than excellence. Unlike typical dating apps that focus on quantity, Quore was designed as a boutique matchmaking service for high-level professionals—executives, entrepreneurs, and aspirational individuals seeking meaningful connections.

The goal was clear: build trust and credibility for an untested service, while signaling privacy, exclusivity, and luxury. The website had to do more than explain how Quore works—it had to inspire confidence, invite sign-ups for the free membership, and most importantly, encourage applications for the highly curated matchmaking program.

But creating that sense of luxury in a digital product was no small feat.

The challenge

The biggest challenge was making an entirely new brand feel instantly premium and trustworthy, without the advantage of an established reputation. It couldn’t look like just another dating app—because it wasn’t.

Quore needed to communicate two things simultaneously: approachability and intimacy, and the sense of privilege that comes with a truly exclusive experience. Go too soft, and it would lose the perception of luxury. Go too cold or elitist, and it would alienate the audience.

It was also essential to balance modern tech-forward design with traditional cues of sophistication, making it clear that this was a human-curated, secure, and discreet service—not a swipe-based algorithm.

My approach

I started by defining the brand’s essence: quiet luxury with purpose. Through research into luxury brands and premium matchmaking services worldwide, I established a minimalist, editorial-inspired visual system that felt clean, intentional, and intimate.

Every design choice was deliberate. I designed a refined custom logo that felt modern yet timeless. I selected a neutral, elegant color palette with deep tones and subtle accents to convey intimacy and trust. I created editorial-style layouts that allowed the content—and the emotional storytelling behind Quore—to breathe. And I crafted a warm, elegant brand voice, avoiding typical “dating app” language and instead using copy that felt intentional, calm, and sophisticated.

The website was structured as a storytelling experience, guiding visitors through who Quore is, how the process works, what makes it different, and finally inviting them to apply through a carefully designed lead form.

What it became

The result was a luxury digital experience that makes an abstract service feel tangible.

When visitors land on the homepage, they are greeted with a calm, elegant aesthetic that immediately sets the tone—this is not a mass-market app; this is something different. The site flows like a conversation, first introducing Quore’s philosophy, values, and promise of discretion. It then guides users through the curated matchmaking journey, explains why Quore is unlike any other service, and addresses potential hesitations with a clear and reassuring FAQ section. Finally, it invites those who resonate with the message to take the next step through a refined and carefully designed application form.

Through intentional design and storytelling, Quore Matchmakers feels intimate, premium, and trustworthy, even before the service officially launches.

The impact

While the service is still in its pre-launch phase, Quore already has a brand identity that matches its ambition.

This project turned an abstract concept—luxury matchmaking—into a clear, aspirational experience, one that balances trust, intimacy, and sophistication. For a completely new brand with no prior reputation, it created the foundations of credibility and desire.
